Emani Hicks

Emani Hicks is a 5th-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. She works in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), assistive and educational technologies, and personal and health informatics to design, develop, and evaluate technology that fosters community-centered learning and collaboration, empowering people through data collection and sharing in diverse contexts. Her Ph.D. work focuses on the design and evaluation of assistive technology for people with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism and ADHD), exploring how these systems can support and empower them in their daily lives.
